Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Clipon CMS handles information when you visit this website, download the CMS, contact us, use the public demo, or use Clipon CMS on your own server.

Clipon CMS is self-hosted software. When you install it on your own website or hosting account, you control the content, users, logs, analytics settings, retention periods, and compliance notices for that installation.

Information we may receive

  • Contact details you send by email, including your name, email address, company, project details, and support questions.
  • Basic technical data from website or demo access, such as IP address, browser information, request URLs, timestamps, and security logs.
  • License, purchase, activation, and update-related data when a paid CMS license or Pro module is requested or used.
  • Public demo activity needed to operate, protect, and reset the demo environment.

How we use information

  • To respond to support, sales, licensing, and product questions.
  • To provide downloads, demos, updates, license verification, and product notices.
  • To protect the website, demo, license services, and CMS releases from abuse or unauthorized access.
  • To improve documentation, onboarding, product reliability, and support workflows.

Cookies and analytics

The Clipon CMS product supports privacy-conscious analytics modes. In privacy basic mode, anonymous public analytics do not require a visitor cookie and raw IP/User-Agent values are not stored in analytics reports. In full analytics mode, visitor-level analytics should only be enabled after appropriate consent.

The website and demo may use essential cookies or server logs for security, session handling, demo operation, and abuse prevention.

Self-hosted CMS data

A Clipon CMS installation can store admin users, roles, permissions, password hashes, page and blog content, media metadata, redirects, route maps, analytics counters, consent state, license/update state, and operational logs.

That data is stored on the site owner's server in runtime directories such as content/, config/, data/, logs/, and assets/uploads/. Site owners are responsible for their own privacy notices, cookie notices, backups, retention policies, and legal compliance.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only with service providers needed to operate the website, demo, downloads, licensing, payments, email, hosting, security, or support, or where required by law.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including support history, licensing records, security logs, tax/accounting records, and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-related assistance where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for security, licensing, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal reasons.
